AttorneyGen and China’s Deputy JusticeMin discuss corruption

Attorney General George Savvides and the Deputy Minister of Justice of the People’s Republic of China, Mr Wang Yuwen, met on Thursday in Nicosia and discussed issues related to mechanisms in place for combating corruption in the two countries.

A press release issued by the Law Office said that the meeting was particularly constructive and the delegations of the two sides, headed by Savvides and Wang discussed bilateral and international cooperation for tackling corruption and the mechanisms and bodies in place to fight the issue in the public sector.

Cyprus Attorney General and the Chinese official described the meeting as particularly useful in exchanging information and best practices on issues of common interest, the press release noted.
