Police are investigating a knife attack in Nicosia involving a 21-year-old man who is currently being treated in critical condition at Nicosia General Hospital.
According to preliminary information from police, officers received a report at around 1.15 am on Tuesday that the 21-year-old had been taken to the hospital after sustaining injuries.
Based on the information available so far, the young man is believed to have been attacked with a knife by another person.
One person being questioned
Police are already questioning one person in connection with the case, while a warrant for their arrest is expected to be issued.
Investigations and examinations into the circumstances surrounding the knife attack are continuing.
