Aradippou farmers donate to support fire-stricken communities

Date:

Farmers from the Municipality of Aradippou have collected hay bales and animal feed to offer tangible support to areas of the Limassol district affected by recent wildfires.

According to a statement by the Municipality of Aradippou, “With a strong sense of responsibility and solidarity, the farmers of the municipality responded immediately to the call from Cyprus’s agricultural organisations to support regions impacted by the recent devastating fires.”

The statement adds, “The mobilisation was swift and moving, as within two days a large quantity of animal feed—mainly hay bales—was gathered and is now being transported by trucks to the severely affected areas. This initiative aims to meet the immediate needs of livestock farmers who have seen their facilities, feed supplies, and part of their herds lost to the flames.”

The Municipality of Aradippou “expresses its gratitude to all farmers who contributed to the effort, as well as to the agricultural organisations coordinating the action.”
