Applications for the 2026 Christmas Villages Grants open until 3 June

The Deputy Ministry of Tourism is implementing the scheme as part of the National Strategy for the Development of Mountain Communities

The deadline for submitting applications to take part in the 2026 Christmas Villages Grant Scheme has been set for 3 June 2026.

The scheme forms part of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism’s efforts to promote tourism development in rural and mountainous areas. It aims to help Local Authorities in municipalities and communities create a festive atmosphere, particularly in areas falling within the “Heartland of Legends” route.

Priority is given mainly to communities and municipal districts that fall within the scope of the National Strategy for the Development of Mountain Communities.
