Application deadline extended for Cyprus tour guide programme

Date:

The Ministry of Education has announced an extension for applications to the Cyprus professional tour guide programme, now open until 15 September 2025.

The new academic course, offered through the Public School of Higher Vocational Education and Training (MIEEK) in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, aims to address the growing need for licensed tour guides and improve the overall quality of Cyprus’s tourism sector.

Set to launch in the 2025–26 academic year at MIEEK’s Nicosia branch, the programme will train professionals with advanced knowledge, practical skills and strong language abilities—aligned with the evolving demands of the tourism industry.

The Cyprus professional tour guide programme supports the country’s sustainable tourism goals and aims to enhance the visitor experience by producing well-qualified guides.
