Violent attacks against Israeli citizens occurred last night in Amsterdam following the conclusion of the Ajax vs Maccabi Tel Aviv game.
According to Dutch media reports, groups of Muslims ambushed and assaulted Maccabi supporters outside the stadium, with reports indicating that at least 10 people were injured.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was briefed on the violent incident targeting Israeli citizens, his office announced on Friday. He ordered the immediate dispatch of two aircraft to assist citizens in returning to Israel, as stated in a press release.
According to updated information, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) is preparing to immediately deploy a rescue mission to the Netherlands. This decision is being made under the guidance of the political leadership and based on a situation assessment. The mission will be conducted in coordination with the Dutch government and will utilise cargo planes, including medical and rescue teams. The operation will be overseen by the IDF’s Home Front Command, working in collaboration with various IDF divisions and Israeli security authorities.
