Fatal collision in Nicosia
A serious traffic accident occurred shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Sunday on Larnacos Avenue in Aglantzia, Nicosia. The crash involved two motorcyclists under circumstances that remain under investigation.
Victim identified
The deceased, 25-year-old Christos Tsanggaridis from Palouriotissa, lost his life at the scene. The other rider, a 19-year-old, received first aid before being discharged from Nicosia General Hospital.
Details of the crash
According to police reports, the collision caused both motorcycles to overturn. The 25-year-old’s motorcycle then struck a parked car. Preliminary alcohol and drug tests conducted on the 19-year-old returned negative results.
The 19-year-old was arrested under a court-issued warrant and is being held to assist with ongoing investigations.

Nicosia Traffic Police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash, with further updates expected as inquiries progress.
