Tragic shooting in Greece: Three-year-old succumbs to head injury

Date:

A tragic end came to the incident involving a three-year-old child who was shot in the head in Markopoulo. Despite being transferred to “Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital, doctors were unable to save the child’s life.

Reports indicate that the child was brought to the hospital unconscious, with doctors attempting—unsuccessfully—to revive the child through CPR.

According to information, the incident occurred when, for unknown reasons, occupants of a vehicle, reportedly of Roma ethnicity, stopped beside another car containing the child and his parents (also Roma) and, for unclear reasons, opened fire, injuring the three-year-old.

Initially, the child was taken by relatives to the Markopoulo Health Center and then transferred by ambulance to “Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital.
