An 18-year-old motorcyclist is being treated at Nicosia General Hospital in serious condition following a road collision shortly after midnight in Famagusta district.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Adamantiou Korai Street in Paralimni, when the motorcycle ridden by the 18-year-old collided with a bus driven by a 43-year-old man, under circumstances that are still being investigated.
Following the collision, the motorcycle struck the boundary wall of a house.
The motorcyclist was initially transported to Famagusta General Hospital, where doctors diagnosed an epidural haematoma and spinal fractures.
Due to the severity of his injuries, he was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was admitted for treatment.
According to his treating physicians, his condition is considered serious but stable.
Paralimni Police Station is investigating the circumstances of the collision.
