Cyprus to welcome its first restaurant inside a greenhouse

Date:

The Greenhouse Experience, a new dining venue at The Royal Goat Farm in Palaiometocho, is preparing to welcome guests inside a real greenhouse next to The Barn.

The new venue will combine dining with the farm’s natural surroundings and its focus on locally produced food. Work on the space is underway, with the opening expected towards the end of October 2026.

Dining surrounded by greenery

Described by its organisers as a unique concept for Cyprus, The Greenhouse Experience will bring guests into a working greenhouse where natural light and greenery form part of the dining environment.

The venue will build on the approach established by The Royal Goat Farm, where most of the products served at The Barn are produced on the premises.

These include bread, eggs, yoghurt, halloumi, trahanas, anari cheese and halitzia, alongside wild greens, vegetables, fruit, cured meats and jams.

The farm follows a “from farm to plate” philosophy, with its own produce at the centre of the dining experience.

Brunch and private events planned

The Greenhouse Experience is expected to host brunches and private events, with special menus available that may include combinations from the popular T’ Antamoma offering.

The opening comes as The Barn prepares to resume operations on 28 October, bringing back its established brunch service on both Saturdays and Sundays.

The new greenhouse venue will provide an additional option for visitors looking to combine food with the farm’s distinctive setting.

The Royal Goat Farm prepares to reopen

The farm remained closed from April because of biosecurity measures.

With work on the new venue continuing and The Barn set to reopen later this month, The Royal Goat Farm is preparing to expand its hospitality offering while maintaining its emphasis on farm-produced ingredients and food.

The Greenhouse Experience is expected to begin operating towards the end of October, although an exact opening date has not been announced.
