The Nicosia Book Fest once again brought together thousands of visitors of all ages at Acropolis Park, celebrating literature and culture with Spain as its honoured country. The festival highlighted the power of books to cross borders, spark dialogue and bring people together.
Organisers thank partners and supporters
In an announcement, the festival organisers thanked everyone who contributed to this year’s event. The Prometheus Research Institute said the festival’s success was the result of a major collective effort involving public bodies, cultural organisations, sponsors and participants.
Special thanks went to the Embassy of Spain in Cyprus and the Cervantes Institute for their cooperation and contribution to the programme, particularly the tribute to Spanish literature.
The organisers also thanked Strovolos Municipality for hosting the festival and the Deputy Ministry of Culture for its support, alongside the organisations, partners, sponsors and supporters who helped make the event possible.
Books meet music, theatre and the arts
Bookshops and publishers taking part gave visitors the opportunity to discover both new releases and older publications. Authors, poets, researchers and speakers also shared their work, knowledge and ideas, encouraging discussion about literature and culture.
Performers, musicians, actors and other artists enriched the programme with presentations and creative contributions, bringing books into conversation with music, theatre and other art forms.
Since its launch in 2016, the Nicosia Book Fest has continued to develop and expand, creating an open meeting place for literature, the arts and society.
