Fire at petrol station in Chloraka

A fire broke out on Monday evening at the entrance of a fuel station located on Makarios Avenue in Chloraka.

According to the Police and Fire Service, the fire is believed to have started on the station’s electronic signboard, which is situated a short distance from the fuel pumps. Preliminary investigations indicated that the cause of the fire, which was quickly extinguished, was an electrical short circuit.

The fire was noticed by passers-by, who immediately alerted the fire department.
