Limassol: Armed robbers steal €200,000 worth of jewellery from couple

Six unknown suspects allegedly broke into a home in the Sfalatziotissa area of Limassol early Thursday morning and robbed a foreign couple at knifepoint.

Couple threatened with knives

According to Sigma correspondent Evangelos Evangelou, the six suspects entered the couple’s home at around 3am and reportedly immobilised the residents while threatening them with knives.

The suspects allegedly stole €5,000 in cash and jewellery estimated to be worth around €200,000.

Police informed hours later

Police were not notified immediately after the incident. Authorities were informed about the robbery later in the morning and launched an investigation.

The circumstances surrounding the break-in and the identity of the suspects are being investigated.
