House prices in Cyprus continued to rise in the second quarter of 2026, with the House Price Index increasing 7.9% year on year and 2.4% compared with the previous quarter, according to preliminary data from the Statistical Service.
The House Price Index reached 105.46 points in Q2, marking its highest level since the second quarter of 2025.
New and existing homes both record increases
The increase in house prices was recorded across both new and existing residential units.
The sub-index for new residential units rose to 105.73 points, from 103.25 in the previous quarter.
The index for existing homes increased to 105.10 points, compared with 102.51 points in the first quarter.

Prices accelerate during first half of 2026
The data show that residential property prices continued their upward trend throughout the first half of 2026.
After remaining almost unchanged towards the end of 2025, the index returned to stronger quarterly growth.
It increased by 1.6% in the first quarter of 2026 and by a further 2.4% in the second quarter.
The latest reading of 105.46 points represents the highest level recorded from Q2 2025 through the second quarter of 2026, highlighting the continued upward movement in the residential property market.
