Four specialist doctors to visit Athienou Health Centre

Date:

Four specialist doctors will begin visiting the Athienou Health Centre on a six-month trial basis to provide patient consultations.

According to an announcement from the Municipality, a representative of the State Health Services Organisation (OKYPY) informed Mayor Kyriakos Kareklas that it has been decided to send four medical specialists to the centre: a Surgeon (for minor surgeries), a Gynaecologist, an Ophthalmologist, and a Dermatologist. The initiative will be evaluated after six months and, if successful, will continue.

It was added that a start date for the doctors’ visits and a schedule of their appointments will soon be determined and announced to the public in the area. This information will also be shared with nearby regions, including Aradippou Municipality, the municipal divisions of Troulloi and Kellia, Lympia, and others.

Services at the Athienou Health Centre are expected to be faster than at hospitals, making it a better option for those seeking consultations with these specialists.

The Mayor has urged residents of Athienou and neighbouring areas to support this new initiative by attending the centre, helping to ensure its success and potential expansion.

Mayor Kareklas expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, and the Minister of Health, Michalis Damianou, for their efforts in achieving this goal for the Athienou Health Centre.
