Mostly clear weather is forecast across Cyprus on Friday, with temperatures reaching around 31C in some areas before conditions become wetter from Sunday.
Weak low pressure is affecting the region, while isolated rain and thunderstorms are expected to develop on Sunday and Monday.
Winds on Friday will initially be variable and light at 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming southwesterly to northwesterly at 3 to 4 Beaufort. They may temporarily strengthen to 5 Beaufort along the southern coast.
The sea will be up to slight.
Temperatures reach 31C
Temperatures will rise to around 31C inland and along the southern and eastern coasts, around 29C on the remaining coasts and 22C in the higher mountains.
Friday night will remain mostly clear, although increased cloud cover is expected at times.
Winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly, with southeasterly winds along the northern coast, remaining light at 3 Beaufort.
The sea will be calm to slight.
Temperatures will fall to 18C inland, around 20C along the coast and 12C in the higher mountains.
Rain and thunderstorms expected from Sunday
Saturday will remain mostly clear, although locally increased cloud cover is expected at times.
A change is forecast from Sunday, when Cyprus weekend rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected.
Conditions will remain partly cloudy at times on Sunday and Monday, with isolated showers and thunderstorms forecast during both days.
Temperatures are expected to remain at similar levels, close to the seasonal average.
