Fuel prices have surged, with diesel breaking the €2 per litre mark on the morning of September 21.
According to the Ministry of Commerce’s Fuel Price Observatory, the nationwide average price for diesel stands at €1.946 per litre. The highest recorded price is €2.039, while the lowest is €1.865.
Prices above €2 have been recorded at petrol stations in both Paphos and Nicosia.
Petrol prices also rise
The average price of unleaded 95 petrol stands at €1.677 per litre.
The lowest recorded price is €1.599, while the highest is €1.749.
For unleaded 98 petrol, the nationwide average is €1.730 per litre. Prices range from €1.639 to €1.799.
Diesel prices across Cyprus
The latest figures from the Ministry of Commerce show significant differences between the cheapest and most expensive petrol stations, with diesel prices now exceeding €2 per litre in some areas.
