Kyrenia shipwreck: Two more bodies recovered, death toll reaches 12

Two more bodies have been recovered from the Filo Jet, which sank off Kyrenia last Sunday, bringing the confirmed death toll to 12.

According to the Turkish Cypriot leader, Tufan Erhurman, the bodies of two more people were recovered during ongoing search operations following the maritime accident.

The two victims were women.

16 people remain missing

Authorities have begun procedures to identify the recovered bodies, Erhurman said.

Search and rescue operations are continuing in an effort to locate the 16 people who remain missing following the sinking.

The Filo Jet sank off the coast of Kyrenia on Sunday, prompting an ongoing search operation involving multiple teams.
