A 33-year-old man was driving his car in the Kokkines area of Ayia Napa at around 5:40am on Friday when unknown individuals opened fire at him.
The man was not injured in the shooting, but his vehicle sustained damage.
Car found burning in Avgorou
A short time later, a car was found burning in an open area in the Avgorou area.
Police are investigating whether the vehicle was used by the perpetrators in the Ayia Napa shooting.
Police investigate attempted murder
The Famagusta Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) is investigating the incident as an attempted murder.
