Limassol roads affected tomorrow by recruits’ swearing-in ceremony

Limassol traffic is expected to increase on Friday, 24 July 2026, due to the swearing-in ceremony of newly recruited National Guard soldiers at Lanitio Stadium.

The ceremony will take place at 9:00am, with increased traffic expected in the area between 7:00am and 10:00am.

Roads affected by increased traffic

According to police, heavier traffic is expected on the following roads:

  • Agias Fylaxeos Street, from the Agias Fylaxeos roundabout to Makariou III Avenue.
  • Makariou III Avenue in Mesa Geitonia, from the Mesa Geitonia roundabout to Makariou III Avenue.
  • Kostis Palamas Street and Crete Street.

Authorities are advising drivers to remain cautious, follow police instructions and, where possible, use alternative routes to avoid delays.

Drivers are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance due to the expected congestion around the stadium area.
