The Cyprus Red Cross has launched its Back to School campaign, calling on the public to help ensure that no child is left without essential school supplies for the new academic year.
The initiative, titled Back to School – With Many Children’s Smiles, aims to support school-age children and families facing financial hardship through donations of school essentials.
Donations accepted until September
According to the Cyprus Red Cross, the Back to School campaign will run from 20 July to 4 September 2026, with donations being collected at local branch offices across the island.
Members of the public are invited to donate new school bags, stationery such as notebooks, pencil cases and pencils, as well as new or gently used school uniforms and clothing without logos or emblems.
Supporting vulnerable families
The Cyprus Red Cross said all donated items will be distributed to children from vulnerable families, helping them begin the new school year with the supplies they need in conditions of equality and dignity.
The organisation has appealed to the public to support the initiative and help give every child the opportunity to start the school year with confidence.
