Digital Citizen app launches today – What’s included

Date:

The “Digital Citizen” app is now live, marking the beginning of a new era of digital services for citizens and businesses.

Through the app, users can now issue and store official documents in digital format for any legal use within the country.

In this initial phase, citizens can obtain a digital ID card, driving licence, and vehicle suitability certificate. This streamlines processes by eliminating the need for physical documents.

This initiative represents a significant step towards the country’s Digital Transformation, aiming to create a modern, user-friendly, and efficient state. The focus is on simplifying procedures, saving time, and improving services, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for all Cypriots and improving their daily lives, stated President Christodoulides in a post on Instagram.
