Section of Paphos–Limassol motorway closed due to fatal crash investigation

Date:

Police have announced a motorway closure tonight as part of an ongoing investigation into a fatal road collision that occurred on 20 June 2026 on the Paphos–Limassol motorway.

The closure is necessary to allow authorities to carry out a reconstruction of the incident.

Traffic to be diverted

Specifically, the section of road between the Kantou exit and the Agios Sylas exit will remain closed from 11:00 pm until 1:00 am the following day.

During the motorway closure tonight, traffic in the affected area will be diverted through the old Paphos–Limassol road.

Police appeal for caution

The reconstruction will be conducted by the Traffic Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Unit of Police Headquarters in cooperation with Limassol Traffic Police.

Police have apologised for any inconvenience caused and urged motorists to remain particularly cautious and follow instructions from officers on duty.

Authorities are continuing investigations into the fatal collision.
