South Korea DefMin resigns after martial law imposition attempt

South Korea’s Defense Minister, Kim Yong-hyun, apologised today and resigned following President Yoon Suk-yeol’s attempt to impose martial law.

“I deeply regret and take full responsibility for the confusion and concern caused to the public by the martial law,” Kim said in a statement. “I have submitted my resignation to the president.”
