A 53-year-old man is in critical condition and on a ventilator at Nicosia General Hospital after sustaining serious injuries under circumstances that remain under investigation.
According to the information under examination, police were informed shortly before 7:00am today by Famagusta General Hospital that an injured man had been brought to the facility earlier that morning.
The 53-year-old was found injured on Eleftherias Street in Ayia Napa and was taken by ambulance to Famagusta General Hospital.
Medical examinations revealed that he had suffered a skull fracture and a brain haemorrhage.
Due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Police are investigating the circumstances under which the 53-year-old sustained his injuries.
The Famagusta Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is continuing its inquiries.
