Sunny and warm conditions continue
Cyprus enjoys summer weather, with enjoy mostly clear skies on Wednesday, and temperatures climbing to 37°C inland, according to the Meteorological Service.
Localised cloud development is expected during the afternoon, while southwesterly to northwesterly winds will be light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, strengthening to 5 Beaufort along windward coastal areas later in the day. The sea will be slight.
Temperatures will reach 37°C inland, 29°C on the west coast, around 32°C along the remaining coastal areas and 26°C in the higher mountains.
Clear night ahead
Overnight, conditions will remain mostly clear with light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds of 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will stay slight.
Temperatures are expected to fall to 18°C inland, around 20°C along the coast and 15°C in the higher mountains.
Rain possible later this week
Thursday will remain largely sunny, although increased cloud cover is expected to develop during the afternoon.
On Friday and Saturday, afternoon cloud build-up is expected to bring isolated showers or even thunderstorms, mainly over the mountains and inland areas.
Temperatures are forecast to gradually decline through Saturday, returning to levels close to the seasonal average.
