Immediate need for blood donors
An urgent appeal has been issued for O+ blood donation following a case of severe haemorrhaging after childbirth.
According to an announcement from the Geri and Engomi blood donation stations, a woman experienced uncontrolled bleeding after giving birth and requires immediate blood transfusions.
Donations accepted until 8pm
Authorities are calling on anyone with O+ blood who is eligible to donate to come forward as soon as possible.
The O+ blood donation drive will continue until 8pm today.
