A fire broke out in the early hours of the morning, at approximately 05:56, on the second floor of a house in central Paphos, prompting an emergency response from the Fire Service.
The property, located in the Mousalla area, a short distance from the Metropolitan Church of Saint Theodore, has reportedly been abandoned for a considerable period of time.
According to information obtained, the building is the family home of Androulla Vassiliou.
The Fire Service said that no one was inside the house when the blaze erupted. Firefighters responded with two fire engines and succeeded in bringing the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to neighbouring buildings.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the relevant authorities.
