The resurgence of conflict in northwestern Syria has forced nearly 50,000 people to flee their homes within just a few days, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported on Monday, describing the situation as fluid and rapidly evolving.
“Over 48,500 people – more than half are children – have been newly displaced across Idleb and northern Aleppo. The situation remains highly fluid, with partners monitoring movements daily”, OCHA stated.
The situation in #Syria is rapidly deteriorating, with civilians bearing the brunt of escalating hostilities.

OCHA head Tom Fletcher expressed his concern via X (formerly Twitter), “tens of thousands of people on the move; critical services interrupted; women, men and children fearing for safety.”
