Three-day Kataklysmos celebrations in Paralimni – Deryneia

The Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia welcomes the Kataklysmos three-day celebrations with a dynamic programme of events. The programme includes the 15th Pancyprian Deryneia Strawberry Festival, a traditional music concert, and the grand concert with Thodoris Ferris in Protaras.

15th Cyprus Strawberry Festival

The three-day celebrations begin on Friday, 29 May 2026, with the 15th Cyprus Strawberry Festival, which will take place at the Anagennisi Deryneia Stadium.

The gates will open at 4:00 p.m. and the programme will include, among other activities, cooking demonstrations by Chryso Lefou and Stavris Georgiou, as well as strawberry pastry competitions.

The evening will culminate with a concert featuring Giorgos Tsalikis and Constantinos Christoforou at 8:45 p.m.

Festival visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy food stalls centred around strawberries, along with various activities for both children and adults.

Traditional Concert in Protaras

The events continue over the weekend in Protaras, specifically at the Fig Tree Bay beach events venue (parking area), where a Traditional Concert with the participation of folk poets will take place on Saturday, 30 May 2026 at 8:00 p.m.

The concert will feature the musical ensemble of Michalis Hatzimichael, Andri Karantoni, Dimitris Mesimeris, Dimitra Hatzimichael, as well as the dance workshop of the Frenaros Municipal District.

Grand Concert with Thodoris Ferris

On Sunday, 31 May 2026 at 8:30 p.m., the grand concert with Thodoris Ferris will take place in Protaras, marking the culmination of the Famagusta Kataklysmos three-day celebrations, which are jointly organised by the Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia and the Municipality of Famagusta.

Admission to all events is free.
