Storm “Bora”, that brought severe weather conditions in Greece, is expected on Tuesday to affect the island in a weakened state, according to Cyprus’ Meteorology Department forecast.
Local showers and isolated storms are expected between Tuesday and Thursday.
According to the Meteorology Department, weak high pressure is temporarily affecting the area, while the “Bora” low pressure system centered in Central Greece, “as it moves slowly southeast, weakens and begins to affect the island from Tuesday.”
On Tuesday and Wednesday, it said, the weather will be mainly cloudy, while local rains and isolated storms are expected, including hail.
This weather pattern is expected to weaken from late Wednesday afternoon, while the weather “will improve significantly.”
On Thursday, local rains and possible isolated storms are expected.
It said that the temperature is to slightly drop on Tuesday, while on Wednesday it will remain at the same levels, slightly below seasonal average. On Thursday, the temperature is to slightly rise, close to the seasonal average, it adds.
