Partly cloudy with isolated rain
Cyprus weather will be partly cloudy today, with isolated rain possible mainly in the mountains and southeastern areas.
Weak low pressure is affecting the region.
Winds will blow mainly from the southwest to northwest, moderate to strong at 4 to 5 Beaufort, and at times very strong at 5 to 6 Beaufort. The sea will be slight to rough, and locally rough on windward coasts.
Temperatures will rise to around 27C inland, on the southern and eastern coasts, around 23C on the western and northern coasts, and 17C in the higher mountains.
Clearer conditions tonight
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, although increased low cloud will be observed locally.
Winds will blow mainly from the northwest, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and initially strong at 4 to 5 Beaufort on windward coasts. The sea will be slight to rough.
Temperatures will fall to 13C inland, around 16C on the coasts, and 7C in the higher mountains.
Weekend improvement and dust from Sunday
On Saturday, the weather will be partly cloudy, with isolated rain possible mainly in the mountains.
On Sunday and Monday, conditions will be mostly clear, although increased high cloud will appear at times. Dust will be present in the atmosphere.
Temperatures will rise on Saturday to reach close to average climatic values, while no significant change is expected on Sunday and Monday.
