Viper bite possible cause of 78-year-old’s death in Paphos

Date:

Indications pointing to a possible viper bite were found during the lawful post-mortem examination on the body of 78-year-old Achilleas Michael, who was found dead yesterday in a field in the eastern area of the Paphos district, near Praitori.

According to the Police, during the post-mortem examination, marks were found on the lower part of one of the unfortunate man’s legs, which may have been caused by a viper bite.

Samples were also taken for further scientific examinations, with the aim of establishing the exact cause of death of the 78-year-old.

It is recalled that Achilleas Michael had been reported missing in Nicosia since 8 May.
