Akrotiri: Motorcyclist killed after collision with vehicle, driver arrested

At 13:39 on April 25, British Bases Police in Akrotiri were called to the scene of a road traffic collision on the M1 road, near the strawberry kiosk, where a car collided with a motorcycle.

Tragically, the male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, while his female passenger was transported to Limassol General Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. Both were wearing full protective motorcycle gear.

The driver of the car has been arrested and is currently being questioned by police at the British Bases station.

The road remains closed.

No further information can be provided at this time as investigations are ongoing. An update will be issued when more details become available.
