Adam Scott and Ben Stiller to host podcast for Severance series

Date:

The second season of the sci-fi series Severance is set to premiere on January 17, promising mysteries that will leave fans with plenty of burning questions.

To accompany the new season, a companion podcast, The Severance Podcast With Ben Stiller and Adam Scott, will offer analyses and weekly insights from the show’s star, Adam Scott, and director, Ben Stiller.

Launching on January 7, the podcast will kick off with two episodes focused on the first season of the show, according to Variety.

Ben Stiller, who serves as producer and director of Severance, directs Adam Scott in the lead role of Mark Scout, an employee at a sinister corporation that forces its workers to undergo a medical procedure that separates their work memories from their personal ones.

In the first season of this workplace thriller, employees begin to uncover the disturbing secrets of the office and learn shocking truths about their jobs and themselves.

Stiller and Scott humorously remarked in a joint statement that working on the series for five years felt like being cut off from the world. They joked about not remembering what happened during that time and suggested the podcast as a way to help fans reconnect with their memories of the show. They also expressed their relief at not collaborating with the fictional Lumon Industries on the podcast, instead partnering with Audacy Podcast to bring it to audiences.

The podcast episodes will feature special guests, including series creator Dan Erickson, executive producer Jackie Cohn, lead actor John Turturro, and celebrity fans of the series, such as comedian and television host Jon Stewart.
