Gaza: At least 17 Palestinians killed as Israel intensifies strikes

Date:

At least 17 Palestinians were killed today in strikes by the Israeli military across the Gaza Strip, according to rescuers. The Israeli forces have escalated their bombardments in central parts of the enclave while armored vehicles have advanced deeper into northern and southern areas.

Six people were killed in two separate airstrikes—one targeting a house and another near the Kamal Adwan hospital in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza. Four others were killed when a motorcycle was struck in Khan Yunis in the south.

In Nuseirat, one of Gaza’s eight historical refugee camps, Israeli aircraft carried out multiple strikes, destroying a multi-story building and roads near mosques. Health officials reported at least seven fatalities from these attacks.

Rescuers confirmed that at least two people—a woman and a child—were killed in shelling by armored vehicles in western Nuseirat, while five others lost their lives when an airstrike hit a residential building.

In Rafah, near the Egyptian border, armored vehicles pushed further into the northwestern parts of the city, according to residents.

The Israeli side has not commented on the overnight and early morning clashes.
