DSA launches platform for detecting potential phishing websites

Date:

Cyprus’ Digital Security Authority (DSA) on Wednesday said it has developed “an innovative platform” for detecting potential phishing websites with the aim of protecting citizens and internet users.

“The tool, called ‘Check My Link’, allows users to check whether a website is safe or if it could be a scam,” the Office of the Communications Commissioner said in a statement.

It adds that by entering the URL, users can report malicious pages to the Digital Security Authority by clicking on the “Report Malicious URL” button, “protecting themselves and other users from potential scams and financial losses”.

“This action strengthens cybersecurity efforts, making the internet safer for everyone it said.
