Attempted murder in Paralimni: 34-year-old identified as nightclub owner

Police are investigating an attempted murder case targeting a 34-year-old nightclub owner, which occurred ten minutes after midnight in Paralimni.

According to Police, the 34-year-old was driving his car along the Protaras–Cape Greco Avenue, near the Pernera traffic lights in Paralimni, when his vehicle came under gunfire. No one was injured, as the shots were fired at the car.

The perpetrators, believed to be at least two individuals, fled the scene.

Members of the Famagusta Police Directorate rushed to the scene and secured the area.

At around 00:45, an abandoned vehicle was found on fire on the Ayia Napa–Rizoelia road (within the British Bases area). Authorities are examining whether the vehicle is linked to the case.
