Fidias Panayiotou elected president of Amesi Dimokratia

The internal elections of Amesi Dimokratia concluded successfully, held electronically via the AGORA app from 19–21 March.

Election turnout and results

Of the 21,874 eligible members and supporters, over 7,000 participated in the vote. Fidias Panayiotou was elected party president with 4,006 votes, representing 56.79% of the total. Diana Konstantinidi was appointed vice president.

Candidates and future elections

The presidential contest included candidates Tasos Anastasiou, Andreas Varosiotis, Minas Giorkas, Diana Konstantinidi, Fidias Panayiotou, Andreas Pigas, and Stefanos Christodoulou.

Fidias Panayiotou announced that future party presidential elections will be held every two and a half years, reinforcing internal democracy within the party.
