The year 2024 marks a thrilling performance season for Eleonora Zouganeli who continues her triumphant tour by back-to-back sold-out performances at the Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus. The concert was presented to great acclaim during the Athens Epidaurus Festival in late July 2024 during the Aeschylia Festival, at the sacred atmosphere of Elefsina as part of Aeschylia Festival, and at the Pallas Theatre in Athens in early November.
Having curated a selection of gems from the breadth of Greek music, along with her beloved personal songs, Eleonora continues her performance tour spanning decades of Greek music and performs her selection at the Nicosia International Festival on Friday, November 29 (20:30) at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre.
In this performance, conceived by lyricist Lida Roumani, the audience will encounter cherished songs that have become anthems for a whole generation, alongside Eleonora’s interpretations of significant works by major composers and lyricists.
In “On Different Paths,” Eleonora selects melodies that have made history and lyrics that resonate deeply within us. The performance is curated and produced by the exceptional Thomas Konstantinou. She is accompanied by a band of outstanding soloist musicians, embarking on a journey that begins with “Monopati” by Giorgos Mouzakis, traverses the paths of Greek folk music (Laiki Music), and reaches the borders of “archontorebetika” and what is known as “elafro” music. Along the way, there are also stops at traditional sounds and other surprises, such as “Tarifas,” born of her collaboration with Stamatis Kraounakis.
