Police locate wanted woman in apartment
Police in Nicosia arrested a 35-year-old woman during an investigation into multiple burglaries and thefts. Officers found her inside an apartment belonging to a 35-year-old man, who was also taken into custody for aiding after a felony.
Drugs and firearms seized
During the operation, police discovered two small bags containing a crystal-like substance resembling amphetamine and a small amount of dry cannabis.
A search of the apartment uncovered a firearm of unknown origin, a hunting rifle, and several electric scooters and bicycles. The occupants could not provide satisfactory explanations regarding their possession.
Court appearance expected
Both suspects remain in custody and are expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court this morning for a remand hearing.
Nicosia CID (TAE), in collaboration with the Drugs and Organized Crime Unit (YKAN), continues to investigate the case.
