Iran war day 12: ‘Most violent attack yet’

Date:

Conflict enters more dangerous phase

The Iran war day 12 has pushed the Middle East into an even more dangerous phase, with fresh missile strikes and military operations reported across the region overnight.

New rocket attacks targeted Tel Aviv, while Israeli forces launched a new wave of strikes against targets in Tehran and Beirut.

At the same time, Iran continued retaliatory attacks against several Gulf states.

Fighting intensifies in Lebanon

Heavy clashes are also ongoing in southern Lebanon between Hezbollah fighters and Israeli forces.

The fighting marks another front in the widening conflict, raising fears of a broader regional escalation involving multiple armed groups.

Iran launches large-scale strikes

Tehran carried out extensive attacks against targets across the region, including Israel.

According to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, the operation was the most violent strike carried out since the war began.

The assault involved ballistic missiles as well as drones launched toward several targets.

Gulf states activate air defences

Several Gulf countries reported activating their air defence systems overnight to intercept Iranian missiles and drones.

The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar all said they had taken defensive measures to counter the incoming strikes.

Drone strike hits US diplomatic facility

Meanwhile, an Iranian drone struck a US diplomatic facility in Iraq, further heightening tensions between Tehran and Washington.

The incident underscores the growing risk that the conflict could expand further across the region as the war enters its twelfth day.
