Diver found dead at the “Zenobia” Shipwreck

A tragic incident occurred on Saturday morning in the sea area of the Zenobia shipwreck in Larnaca.

According to an announcement by the Larnaca Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC), information was received at 09:40 on March 7, 2026 about a diver in danger in the area.

A speedboat from the Marine and Port Police was dispatched to the scene, along with an ambulance from the Ambulance Service of the State Health Services Organisation (OKYPY).

The diver, a Greek Cypriot man, was recovered by the Marine and Port Police vessel and handed over to paramedics. He was then transported to Larnaca General Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.
