Despite its good performance, the Men’s National Basketball Team suffered a defeat on Sunday against France at the Arena Futuroscope, in the 4th round of the fifth EuroBasket qualifying group.
According to the Cyprus Basketball Federation, the top scorers in yesterday’s game for the representative group were Philippos Tigkas and Darryl Darnel Willis who scored 18 points each, with the former also recording five rebounds and equal assists, while the latter had nine rebounds and two assists. Konstantinos Simitzis finished the game with 12 points.
It is added that in the February window the national team will face Bosnia and Herzegovina away (21/02) and Croatia at home (25/02).
