A 26-year-old motorcyclist remains in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital following a crash in Nicosia on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the road collision occurred at around 14:20 on Aglantzia Avenue in Aglantzia. Under circumstances still under investigation, the motorcycle the 26-year-old was riding struck the road’s central divider and overturned.
Emergency response and hospital treatment
Police officers attended the scene to carry out examinations, while an ambulance crew transported the injured rider to Nicosia General Hospital.
Medical examinations showed that the 26-year-old sustained multiple injuries. Doctors then admitted him to the Intensive Care Unit, where his condition remains critical, according to treating physicians.
Ongoing police investigation
The Nicosia Traffic Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, police said.
