Cyprus weather stays clear before rain later this week

Mostly clear conditions today

Cyprus weather will remain mostly clear today under the influence of weak high pressure. Winds will blow south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will stay calm to slightly rough, although conditions will be rougher at first in western and northern waters.

Temperatures will rise to around 19°C inland and along the coasts, while higher mountainous areas will see temperatures near 10°C.

Clear skies overnight

Tonight, the weather will remain mainly clear. Winds will turn north-westerly to north-easterly, while south-easterly winds will affect the northern coast. They will remain light, around 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough.

Temperatures will drop to about 7°C inland, around 9°C along the coasts, and close to 3°C in the higher mountains.

Clouds and rain expected later in the week

On Thursday, Cyprus weather will start off mostly clear before gradually turning partly cloudy. Isolated showers may develop late at night.

On Friday, the weather will turn mostly cloudy, with local rainfall expected across parts of the island.

Saturday will bring partly cloudy skies, with a chance of isolated showers.

Temperatures will record a slight drop on Thursday and Friday, before rising slightly on Saturday. They will remain above seasonal averages overall.
