Full trailer drops for The Devil Wears Prada 2

Date:

Trailer reveals key reunions

The first full-length trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 has been released, offering fans a closer look at David Frankel’s highly anticipated follow-up. In the trailer, Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly reunites with her right-hand man Nigel, played by Stanley Tucci, as well as Anne Hathaway’s Andy and Emily Blunt’s Emily.

Despite the reunions, Priestly appears to remember neither Andy nor her previous habit of calling all her assistants “Emily,” a nod to her iconic alpha-editor persona rather than any memory lapse.

Record-breaking teaser success

The film’s teaser trailer, released in November, reportedly became the most-viewed comedy trailer in 15 years, amassing 181.5 million views on YouTube within its first 24 hours. The new full-length trailer has already reached 2.8 million views in its first nine hours.

Cast additions and release dates

The sequel to the 2006 hit is set to release in Australia on 30 April, followed by the UK and US on 1 May. The cast expands with Kenneth Branagh as Priestly’s new boyfriend, alongside Sydney Sweeney, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak, and Pauline Chalamet. Lady Gaga is set to make a cameo appearance.

Fans of the franchise can expect a blend of fashion, drama, and humour, with returning favourites and fresh storylines promising a stylish cinematic experience.
