Police preventive operations continue across Cyprus

Date:

Cyprus Police continued dynamic and targeted preventive operations last night, with reinforced presence at key urban locations. The aim was to prevent serious criminal activity, protect citizens, and maintain public order.

Arrests and inspections

During these operations, the Police arrested two individuals for cases involving serious criminal and other offences. Officers also conducted extensive inspections at 21 premises to prevent and address illegal behaviour.

Traffic enforcement

On the road network, authorities carried out more than 420 checks, issuing 138 traffic violation notices. Among these, 48 cases involved exceeding the speed limit. In addition, eight vehicles were seized during investigations of traffic offences.
