Critical need for all blood groups
An urgent blood donation appeal has been issued by the Alkinoos Artemiou Foundation, warning of critical and immediate shortages across all blood groups.
According to the foundation, the situation is described as extremely serious, with an immediate need for donors of every blood type to ensure hospitals can continue to meet patient needs.
Donation centres open today until 19:30
Members of the public are urged to donate blood today, with donation centres operating until 19:30 at the following locations:
- Egkomi Health Centre
- Old Limassol Hospital
- Larnaca General Hospital
For donations in Famagusta and Paphos, donors are advised to visit the Cyprus Blood Establishment.
Public urged to respond immediately
The foundation is calling on eligible donors to respond without delay, stressing that even a single donation can help save multiple lives at a time of heightened demand.
