Nikos Sykas definitively out of DISY’s election ballot

DISY voted on Monday not to include MP Nikos Sykas on the party’s upcoming parliamentary election ballot.

A party statement confirms the DISY adopted the Executive Bureau’s recommendation via secret ballot, as allowed by the statute.

DISY drops Nikos Sykas decision follows the Supreme Court lifting his parliamentary immunity at Attorney General’s request.

Sykas faces questioning over an alleged assault on his partner.
